Question 454327: Solve the linear system by using substitution. 3x+2y=5, 5x-9y=-4
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x+2y=5 .............1
9y=4+5x ---------2
/9 =
y=0.44+0.56x
Plug the value of y in (1)
3x+2(0.44+0.56x)
3x+0.89 +1.11x=5
3x+1.11 x=5-0.89
4.11x=4.11
/4.11
x=1
Plug the value of x in (1)
3x+2y=5
3*1+2y=5
3+2y=5
2y=2
/2
y=1
