Question 439041: Please again I am stuck at the fraction and how to compare them. I need the formula and i will try and figure for myself. i thought: 1/5x=65 and 1/20 but the answer is too small. Thank you
In 2050 about 1/5 of the population will be aged 65 or over and about 1/20 of the population will be aged 85 or over. Estimate the fraction of the population that will be between the ages of 65 and 85 in 2050.
Answer by jorel1380(3719) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The difference between the two is:
1/5-1/20=4/20-1/20=3/20
So the fraction of the population that will be between 65 and 85 is 3/20.
