Question 400338: what is the anwser to 8x=-2y-10 and 2x=4y? and how did you get it?
Answer by rfer(16322)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x=4y x=2y
8(2y)=-2y-10
16y=-2y-10
18y=-10
y=-10/18=-5/9
----------------
2x=4(-5/9)
2x=-20/9
x=-20/9*1/2
x=-20/18
x=-1 2/18=-1 1/9
-----------------
2(-20/18)=4(-5/9)
-40/18=-20/9
-2 2/9=-2 2/9
