Hi,
*Note: the vertex form of a parabola, where(h,k) is the vertex
f(x) = x^2 + 6x + 18
completing the square
f(x) =(x+3)^2 -9 + 18 = 1*(x+3)^2 + 9
a = 1, a positive number, therefore parabola opens upward
vertex is (-3,9) this is a minimum value.
