Question 347734:
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
z/(z-2) -1/(z+5) = 7/(z^2+3z-10)
-------------------------------------
Multiply thru by z^2+3z-10 to get:
---
z(z+5)-(z-2) = 7
z^2+4z+2 = 7
---
z^2+4z-5 = 0
----
(z+5)(z-1) =0
z = -5 or z = 1
----
But z cannot be -5 as that would make z-5 = 0.
---
Ans: x = 1
