Question 342633: Im in need of help, in my 8th grade algebra class.
I need help with Solving Equations with Variables on Both Sides.
Such as.
4n+6-2n= 2(n+3)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4n+6-2n= 2(n+3)
----
2n + 6 = 2n + 6
---
If you subtract 2n from both sides you get:
6 = 6
-------
That is always true.
It tells you that the original equation is an identity.
It is true for all possible values of "n".
So the equation has an infinite number of solutions.
