I'll use the substitution method to solve;
x=3+4y
Substitute 3+4y for x;
3(3+4y)-8y=10
9+12y-8y=10
12y-8y=10-9
4y=1

Now substitute for y;
x-4=3
x-1=3
x=4
So the answer;
y=
x=4
