Question 316513: Solve for x. 4x(x-1)-5x(x)=3
I am lost. Please help me solve this problem.
Thank you.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x(x-1)-5x(x)=3
-----
4x^2-4x-5x^2 = 3
-x^2 -4x-3 = 0
x^2+4x+3 = 0
Factor:
(x+3)(x+1) = 0
x = -3 or x = -1
