First step is to get rid of the fractions by multiply each side by the LCD/1, in this case, 4.==>4(x/2)/2-(x+2)/4)=1/2==>2(x-2)-(x+2)=2
Use the distributive property==>2x-4-x-2=2
Combine Like Terms:2x-4-x-2=2==>x+2=2==>x=0
