Question 31297: Can u help me find x and y?
3y=4x-9
2x-3y=4
Answer by mukhopadhyay(490) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3y=4x-9
Substituting 3y in the other equation, we get
2x-(4x-9)=4
=>2x-4x+9=4
=>-2x=-5
=>x=5/2
Put the value of x in any equation to get y
3y=4(5/2)-9
=>3y=10-9
=>y=1/3
Verification:
2x-3y=2(5/2)-3(1/3)=5-1=4 (matches)
4x-3y=4(5/2)-3(1/3)=10-1=9 (matches)
