First off we can write this (3x^2+2x-3)-(x^2-2x+1) as:
3x^2+2x-3-x^2+2x-1 Now combine like terms to get:
2x^2+4x-4 We can rewrite this as:
2(x^2+2x-2)
There we go. This is simplified.
I don't see the original as an equation. It's an expression. Equations have equal signs and expression stand alone.

Removing the parentheses
3x^2+2x-3-x^2+2x-1
2x^2+4x-4
There is no equal sign anywhere.
