Any solution that leads to a contradiction is not a solution.
Similar to the problem.

There is no number such that when you add 1 to it, equals itself.
Because if I subtract x from both sides then,

So therefore there is no solution.

5 is not equal to 3.
You can get such a result when the equations are inconsistent.
eg:
x + y = 3
x + y = 5
The graphs are 2 parallel lines.
No intersection, no solution.
