If a wholesaler buys 100 pounds of shrimp for x dollars, then what is the price per pound?

If I buy one pound for 1 dollar, what is the price per pound? 1 Dollar
Now if I buy 2 pounds for a dollar, what is the price per pound? 1/2 dollar
If I buy 5 pounds for 2 dollars what is the price per pound? 2/5 dollar (40 cents) per pound.
so 100 pounds for x dollars is x/100 dollars per pound

The key to this problem is to keep track of your units of measurement.
Oftentimes the units of measurement will help you figure out what to divide by what or what to multiply by what.

The shrimp is priced at $ per lb, which is shown as $/lb.
That tells you you need to divide the $ by the lb.

So it would be $x/100 lb = x/100 $/lb
