Question 26406: How do I...Solve the system by addition.
5x-3y=13
4x-3y=11
Thanks you in advance for your help.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you wish to get rid of the "y terms" multiply the 2nd equation by (-1) then add to get:
x=2
Substitute that into either of the original equations to solve for "y":
5(2)-3y=13
-3y=3
y=-1
The solution of the system is x=2, y=-1
