Question 257763: what is 3x-2y=3
and 25x+10y=215

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x-2y=3
-2y=-3x+3
y=-3x/-2+3/-2
y=3x/2-3/2
25x+10y=215
25x+10(3x/2-3/2)=215
25x+30x/2-30/2=215
25x+15x-15=215
40x=215+15
40x=230
x=230/40
x=5.75 ans.
y=3*5.75/2-3/2
y=17.25/2-3/2
y=14.25/2 ans.
y=7.125 ans.
Proof:
25*5.75+10*7.125=215
143.75+71.25=215
215=215
