using substitution find the answer to the problem y=2x+3 y=4x-1
Substitute 4x-1 from the second equation into the first:
4x-1 = 2x+3
2x = 4
x = 2
Substitute 2 for x in the second equation and solve for y.
y = 4*2 - 1 = 7
