(-1)x (-1)(- 9y) = (-1)101 This will then be:
-x +9y = -101 Now we can add it to the second equation.
x - 7y = 75 Notice the x cancels out leaving us with:
2y = -26 Divide both sides by 2 which gives us:
y= -13 Plug this into the original equation to find x.
x = -16
