Sam can unload a truck of furniture in 6 hours. Working together, it takes Sam and Matthew 2 hours to do the same job. How long would it take Matthew to do the job by himself
I think is 1/6 + 1/x=1/2
--------------
I think you're right.
1/x = 1/2 - 1/6 = 2/6
x = 3 hours
--------------
Check it using the shortcut, product/sum
6*3/(6+3) = 2 hours together
