Question 228359: y^4-81
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What are you supposed to do with this? Factor it??? If so, this is a difference of two squares:
y^4-81
(y^2-9)(y^2+9)
The (y^2-9) factor factors again into (y-3)(y+3). Notice that the (Y^2+9) does NOT factor.
(y^2-9)(y^2+9)
(y-3)(y+3)(y^2+9)
