The pattern is 1 more than the sum of the previous whole numbers. I don't understand how to find "n". To make an expression or formula to solve the last part.

(n(n+1))/2 or (n^2+n)/2
The highest number in your series of 1 to n.
50(51)/2=25*51=1275
