Doesn't make sense -- check whether you have a typo.

2.) 9 + p when p = 11
Plug it in and add:
9 + p
9 + 11 = 20
.
3.) r(10) when r = 8.2
Again, substitute and do the multiplication
r(10)
8.2(10) = 82
.
4.)3/8 - p when . p = 3/16
Plug it in and subtract:
3/8 - p
3/8 - 3/16 = 6/16 - 3/16 = 3/16
