Isolate "b-a" to one side of the equation.
.
If you started with:
13+a=25+b
Subtract 'a' from both sides:
13 = 25+b-a
Now, subtract 25 from both sides:
13-25 = b-a
-12 = b-a (this is what they're looking for)
