Question 18727: Simple Interest: I can do the math if I knew how to set this up I think. I have setup this problem by pluging in the numbers but I get a different answer than my book answer key. Can you show me how to do this prblem please?
I=prt p=7500, r=.035, t=6

Answer by venugopalramana(3286)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the eqn. for simple interest is
I=p*t*r..if r is given as fraction and I=p*r*t/100..if r is given as percent(%)
we have p=7500, r=.035, t=6 ...substituting we get
I=7500*0.035*6=75*3.5*6=75*21=1575 is the answer
