Question 182806: someone please help me!!
x=-2y+1
3x-y=0

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=-2y+1
3x-y=0
-----------
Substitute to get:
3(-2y+1) - y = 0
-6y + 3 - y = 0
-7y = -3
y = 3/7
------------------
Substitute to solve for "x":
x = -2(3/7) + 1
x = (-6/7) + (7/7)
x = 1/7
--------------------
x = 1/7 ; y = 3/7
