I submited this question before but I couldnt understand the answer I was given. Please show your work, and if you can please explain how you recieved the answer.

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5 2/3 x - 16 = 50
17x/3 - 16 = 50
17x-48=150 multiply each side by 3 (LCM) to eliminate fractions.
17x=198
x=198/17
