(s-w)27=540
(s+w)15=540

Answer by checkley75(3666)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(s-w)27=540
27s-27w=540
(s+w)15=540
15s+15w=540
27s-27w=15s+15w
27s-15s=15w+27w
12s=42w
s=42w/12
(42w/12-w)27=540
(42w*27)/12w-27w=540
1134w/12-27w=540
1134/12-27w*12/12=540
1134w/12-324w/12=540
810w/12=540
810w=540*12
810w=6480
w=6480/810
w=8 ans.
s=42*8/12
s=336/12
s=28 ans.
