if your talking about the inverse of f(x) ..then what we have to do is replace all occurences of y with x and all occurences of x with y.
:
let y=f(x) so y=3x-2 is x=3y-2--->3y=x+2--->y=(1/3)x+(2/3)
:
so (4) =(1/3)(4)+2/3=4/3+2/3=6/3=
