Let Ann be x yrs. old
Then Kris is x+5 yrs old.

3 yrs from now DATA:
An will be x+3 yrs. old
Dris will be x+5+3 = x+8 yrs old

in 3 years Kris will be twice as old as Ann
x+8 = 2(x+3)
x+8 = 2x + 6

x+5 = 7 yrs old (kris's age now)
