Question 175220: One angle of a triangle measures 6 degrees more than the second. The third angle measures 4 degrees less than 3 times of the sum of the measures of the first two angles. Find the three measure of the angles.

let the measurements of our angles be a,b,and c
:
a=b+6........eq 1
c=3(a+b)-4...eq 2
a+b+c=180....eq 3
:
take a's value from eq 1 and plug it into eq 2.
:
c=3((b+6)+b)-4--->c=6b+18-4--->c=6b+14...revised eq 2
:
now take a's value from eq 1 and c's value from revised eq 2 and plug them into eq 3
:
b+6+b+6b+14=180
:
8b=160
:
degrees
:
degrees
:
degrees
