Question 171828: y=4x+3 and -3y=14-5x
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=4x+3 and -3y=14-5x
---------------
-3y=14-5x
y=4x+3
Sub for y in the 1st eqn
---------
-3y=14-5x
-3*(4x+3) = 14-5x
-12x-9 = 14-5x
-7x-9 = 14
-7x = 23
x = -23/7
--------
y = 4x+3
y = -92/7 + 3
y = -71/7
