Question 166337: I have a test at my college on monday and I was wondering if you could please explain to me how to solve the equation.
2zx(2)y=18 where x=1,z=y

Answer by elima(1433)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I am assuming that (2) is actually an exponent?
2zx(2)y=18 where x=1,z=y
so we rewrite the equation with the information given, we use 1 in place of our x and y in place of z;

divide each side by 2;

take the square root of each side;

we end with;
y=9
Hope this is clear and I helped.
