If you add one third of a number to the number itself, you get 48. What is the number?
In other words, 1/3(x) + 1/3 = 48
We can write 1/3(x) simply as x/3.
We now have this fractional equation:
x/3 + 1/3 = 48
Can you take it from here?
If not, write back.
