I am confused by your answer???
why wasnt the 15 subtracted from the -5?
This was my solution
5x^3-5x+1/x-3
5x^2+10x31/x-3
x-3 /5x^3-5x+1
-5x^3-15 [here you subtracted 15 which should have been 15x^2.
+10+1 seeing as ther is no x^2 term you bring down the -15x^2]
-10+30
+31/x-3
Where did I go wrong?

5x^3-5x+1/x-3
```````5x^2+15x+40
````______________
x-3)5x^3``````-5x+1
````5x^3-15x^2
````----------
````````15x^2-5x
````````15x^2-45x
````````-----------
`````````````40x+1
`````````````40x-120
`````````````--------
````````````````121
Answer: 5x^2+15x+40 r 121/(x-3)
