Tripling the greater of two consecutive even integers gives the same result as subtracting 10 from the lesser even interger. What are the integers?
----------
Two consecutive even integers: 2x, 2x+2
-----------------------------------------
EQUATION:
3(2x+2) = 2x-10
6x+6 = 2x-10
4x = -16
x = -4
---------
1st even integer: 2x = -8
2nd even integer: 2x+2 = -6
