First subtract 8z from both sides, than 3 from both sides;
3-4z-8z-3=-5+8z-8z-3
-4z-8z=-5-3
-12z=-8
Divide both sides by -12;
-12z%2F12=-8%2F-12
z=2%2F3
Don't forget to check;
3-4(2%2F3)=-5+8(2%2F3)
3-8%2F3=-5+16%2F3
9%2F3--8%2F3=-15%2F3+16%2F3
1%2F3=1%2F3
