It's one that is equivalent to a false equation 
without a variable.

Example 1:

 

Subtract x from both sides:

 

That is a false equation without a variable.

Remove the parentheses:



Combine like terms:



Subtract  from both sides



That's a false equation with no variables.

Here's one

There is no x you can choose that solves that equation.
I can get close by choosing really large x but it will never equal zero.

Again no solution because whenever I square a number, it will be greater than or equal to zero and never -1, which would allow you to solve the equation.

You will see later on that there are solutions to those equations but not in the traditional sense of a solution that you think of right now.
