Question 141612: Simplify
6-a/6
_______
a/3
Answer by jojo14344(1513) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Well, simpifying by solving a.
The eqn becomes:
6 - a/6= a/3, the same right?-------- mark eqn 1
so,
(36-a)/6= a/3
becomes 3(36-a) = 6a, and divide whole eqn by 3 to simplify,
36-a=2a
36=3a
a=12
In doubt? Go back eqn 1,
6 - 12/6= 12/3
6-2=4
4=4 cool!
Thank you,
Jojo
