If you really don't like fractions, then multiply both sides by the denominator which is 2, and get rid of it:

A%2F2+%2B+5+=+10

2%2A%28A%2F2%29+%2B+2%2A5+=+2%2A10

The 2 divides out in the first term, leaving:
A+%2B+10+=+20

Now just subtract 10 from each side:
A%2B10-10+=+20-10
A=+10
