7(x+4)=9(x-2)
So, we do the multiplication. 7x+28=9x-18
We put the x term on one side of the equal sign.
9x-7x=28+18 so 2x=46 so x=23

7x + 28 = 9x - 18
28+18 = 9x-7x
2x = 46
x = 23
