Whatever answer you're looking for you're NOT going to get from her, as she's WRONG!! She'll NEVER change her wrong
answer, so it's probably best to try to answer this on your own. Maybe you'll learn something from her faux pas.

If you're looking to solve for y, then,
3x-2 = x-y+6
y = x+6-3x+2
y = -2x+8

This is in slope intercept form y = mx+b
m = -2 = slope
b = 8 = y intercept

Two points on this line are (0,8) and (1,6)
Note how the movement from (0,8) to (1,6) is "down 2, right 1" which is from the slope -2 = -2/1.

Yes, she made a sign error, like I'm prone to do.





She missed the sign of y right there.  It was already negative on the right side.
