Answer by math_tutor2020(3817)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

The inequality is already in slope intercept form.
Slope intercept form is y = mx+b
m = 4 = slope
b = -3 = y intercept

This boundary line of y = 4x-3 goes through the points (0,-3) and (1,1). Plug in any x value you want to find a corresponding y value.

The boundary line is solid because of the "or equal to" as part of the inequality sign. Points on the boundary are included in the shaded region for this reason.

We shade above the boundary line to indicate other (x,y) points in the solution set for y≥4x-3
We shade above due to the "greater than" portion.
This trick only works if y is fully isolated, i.e. the inequality is in slope intercept form.

I used GeoGebra to make the graph.
Desmos is another handy tool you can use. Both options are free.
