Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5775=3X^2+270X
3x^2+270-5775=0
using the quadratic equation we get:
x=(-270+-sqrt[270^2-4*3*-5775])/2*3
x=(-270+-sqrt[72,900+69,300])/6
x=(-270+-sqrt142,200)/6
x=(-270+-377.094)/6
x=(-270+377.094)/6
x=107.094/6
x=17.84 answer for the number of items needed to produce for the profit of $5775.
