C.)mints are 85¢ per lb
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3c+2m = 10.80 (1)
------------------------------
1c+3m = 5.35 multiply both sides times 3:
3c+9m =16.05 (2)
Now subtract (2) from (1):
3c+2m = 10.80
-
3c+9m =16.05
--------------
0c+(-7m) = -5.25
-7m = -5.25 divide both sides by 7 and remember that -/- = +
m = 0.75 This is the cost per pound of the mints.
