Question 1038458: Whats an equation that may be used to find the distance between the lens and the film if the focal length of the lens is 50 millimeters while the distance
between the lens and the object is 1000 millimeters?
Info: Film is represented by q. If the distance from the subject to the lens is p and the focal length of the lens is f, then the formula 1/q = 1/f - 1/p can be used to determine the correct distance between the lens and the film.

I don't understand your question. You ask for the formula and then give the formula. Do you want us to substitute the values for f and p and then do the arithmetic for you? If that is what you want, that is not going to happen. You have just as good of a calculator as any of us do. Do your own arithmetic.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
