x+ y = 11
10x - y = 22

Let's add both sides of the equation
11x = 33 Therefore x is 3
If x is three and x = y is 11, therefore y should be 8
Now we know if we add 3 and 8 we get 11 and if we multiply 3 by 10 and subtract 8 from it we get 22.
