Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
7 1/2x - 1/2x = 3 3/4x + 39
15/2x-1/2x=15/4x+39
Get rid of the fractions; multiply both sides by 4.
30x-2x=15x+156
28x-15x=156 subtract 15x from each side.
13x=156
x=12 divide both sides by 13.
Check:
90-6=45+39
84=84
