Question 1034998: Solve the equation for the missing variables
1. 12 (X-3)= 0
2. 15 (x+1)-8x= 29

For 12(x-3) = 0,
x must be 3.
For 15(x+1) - 8x = 29, we distribute first and get
15x + 15 - 8x = 29
7x + 15 = 29
Now subtract 15 and then divide by 7...
7x = 14
x = 2
