Find a6
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In an arithmetic progression a2=6 and a3=5
---
a(1) + d = 6
a(1) +2d = 5
----
Subtract and solve for "d"::
d = -1
---
Solve for a(1)::
a(1)+ d = 6
---
a(1) -1 = 6
a(1) = 7
====================
Find a(6) = a(1) + 5d = 7 + 5*-1 = 2
