Question 59887: This is from my teacher and we have to solve it and I am not sure if you can reduce first and then do the exponents. Here is the problem and it didn't come from a specific math book.
(-5a)^4/(-15a^2b)^3
I took out -5a, then I ended up with 1^4/(3ab)^3 is this correct. You can show this online. Thanks

Question 62629: i really need some help with this equasion: x^4 over x^5 times x^ negative 2 over x. I've tried adding the top exponents which is x^2 and then I added the bottom exponents which is x^6 i think and then I put x^2 over x^6 then I put it x^2-6 which equals x^ negative 3 put I don't think thats right so if you could help me I would be very happy! thankyou
