evaluate each algebraic expression for the given value of the variable:
-6(x + 3) when x = 2

evaluate the expression means take the value you are given for a variable
in this case we are told that x=2
and replace the variable in the problem with that value
so we have

first replace x with 2

then do the math following order of operations
first add the numbers in the parentheses

now a number outside a set of parenthese means multiply so
multiply the -6 times 5

and thats it
